Homemade Pizza Sauce is incredibly easy to make! Its the perfect pairing to delicious homemade pizza.
All you need is five simple ingredients. Those ingredients are: 1 (28 ounce) can of Cento crushed tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 large cloves of minced garlic, 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of sugar, and 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt.
Start by heating the olive oil in saucepan over medium heat. When the olive oil is hot, add the minced garlic. Cook the garlic for about 1 minute, until its fragrant. Don’t brown the garlic. Next, add the can of Cento crushed tomatoes, sugar, and salt. Stir the ingredients together to combine. Within a couple minutes the sauce should start bubbling. When it starts to bubble, turn the heat down to low. Let this simmer for 25 minutes. Partially cover the saucepan with a lid to prevent pizza sauce spraying all over your oven.
You’re done! Use on your homemade pizza and save what you don’t use. This homemade pizza sauce saves really well in the refrigerator for your next pizza night. Enjoy!
