Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Saki
  • 1/2 cup Mirin
  • 1.5 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp water
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp powdered ginger

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, sauté onion and crushed red pepper in vegetable oil for 5 minutes or until translucent.
  • Add garlic and ginger, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
  • Add Saki to deglaze the pan, then add mirin, soy, and sugar. Cook and reduce.
  • Add sesame seeds and corn starch slurry.
  • Stir until thick and take off heat.
